Micha van Marcke is a Principal with Edge Capital Markets in Houston. She advises on the disposition and acquisition of retail and office properties for a variety of major institutional and private clients, providing capital markets execution experience.
Micha was most recently with Transwestern Commercial Services where she led Retail Investment Sales as a Senior Vice President for seven years. Prior to her career in commercial real estate, Micha assisted Enron in the disposition of single purpose assets as well as multi-pronged corporate mergers and dispositions. Over her past 24 years of transaction experience, Micha has completed $2 billion in asset sales and over 245 leases throughout Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Using her extensive finance background, Micha specializes in aiding landlords, developers, banks and special servicers as they maneuver the challenging real estate deal cycle from acquisition to divestiture and all the steps in between.
Micha is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker as well as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Designee. She is an active member of several organizations throughout Houston, including Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW) and Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) and is a multi-year CCIM Retail Forecast winner. Micha has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Business Administration, finance concentration, from Rice University. Micha loves spending time with her husband, Gauthier, enjoying weekends in the country in their shipping container home, entertaining and traveling.
